Refurbishing
Specnow was created to meet the growing market for improvements to established furnace plant and operations. Several major rebuilding projects have been carried out for companies that were managing aged equipment. Specnow's method has been to work on site in partnership with the customers' engineers to restore the plant to full performance capability. In this way the costs can be quite modest compared to investment in new plant.

It has been found that many operational difficulties occur due to obsolete process controls, impacting on throughput and quality. Specnow's Human Machine Interfacing and SCADA packages provide solutions, restoring reliability while increasing visibility. As well as giving a full picture of what is happening to furnace and load, our controls and software allow our customers to access us for on-line support and diagnostics, reducing the number of call-outs.
